In looking at the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2015, the first night is September 15. This seems much later than previous years. Is there any particular reason for the later start? Thanks

Hello Wayne!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your question intrigued me, so I did a little digging.  You are right, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party does have a later start date this year than previous years.  In 2014 the party started on September 1st and in 2013 the first party was September 10th.  Even though the party does start later this year, there is still a comparable number of parties on select nights.  This year there will be a total of 25 parties to celebrate the season.  Last year there were 26 parties and in 2013 there were 23 parties.  Disney hasn't said why the party is starting later this year, but I would assume it has to do with the way the weeks fall in the calendar year.

I hope this helps a little!  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask us.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
