Looking at CS Gran Destino Tower but I think it’s the last bus pick up. I will need a wheelchair space. Will the bus be full by the time it gets to the tower. Travelling at Easter.

    Hi Sarah!

Welcome to planDisney! We had a truly lovely stay at the Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort this past autumn. The entrance and lobby are absolutely gorgeous! We found the rooms to be comfortable and we loved the spacious bathroom. My kids enjoy searching for Hidden Mickeys, and Disney’s Gran Destino Tower did not disappoint them!

While my family doesn’t have a wheelchair need, I too was concerned about the bus being full by the time it reached us. As a family of six, we tend to require more room than the average family and I was worried we might have to wait longer than usual. Overall, things went well, but packing a little patience and flexibility always helps! On one occasion we arrived at the bus stop to find there were already half a dozen families waiting. When the first bus arrived, five of those families were able to board, while we had to wait for the next bus. Given the circumstances, I found this to be pretty reasonable and no one in my family was bothered by it. On all other occasions, we were able to board the next bus that arrived.

Since all the buildings at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort are not yet open, there are fewer Guests than typical using the bus service, so this helps a lot. Additionally, Guests needing a wheelchair space are boarded first, so this should help you as well.

Since you are traveling at Easter, you can expect it to be a more popular time to visit, so I have a few tips for you. I always recommend choosing off-peak times to travel, and leave yourself more time than you think you need. Consider planning to arrive a bit before park opening, and always avoid leaving immediately at park close. I like the extra time in the morning to not feel rushed going through the temperature check and bag check. In the evening, we like to visit the shops, and enjoy a leisurely stroll out of the park so we aren’t rushing to the buses with the rest of the departing Guests.

I hope this helps to alleviate some of your concerns, and I wish you good bus luck on your upcoming visit. Please let us know if you have any additional questions we can help you with as your trip approaches!
