Hi there, Tonia! Welcome back to planDisney!
I’m so excited that your family will be sailing on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the
Disney Destiny, this upcoming May! There are so many special places on board filled with the coolest heroic and villainous details, including some pretty awesome spots for great selfies. Speaking of spots, my mind immediately jumps to De Vil’s and the bold decor pieces right from the stylish brain of our friend, Cruella. A selfie in front of that dalmatian-inspired piano? Talk about a picture worth a thousand words (or spots), darling!
But, darling, to show off that stylishly spotted photo, you’ll need internet access. Not to worry, because the Disney Destiny
has you covered-both for stylish selfies and the Wi-Fi to post them. I’d be happy to go over the
Wireless Internet Access on board.
Currently, Disney Cruise Line offers two different purchase options for Wireless Internet Access. There's the Internet Package, which allows you to browse emails, search engines, and social media. The other option, the Internet + Streaming Package, offers the same features as the Internet Package, plus you can listen to music from Apple Music and Spotify, as well as stream videos from Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, etc. The Wireless Internet Access option that’s right for you will depend on what you’re planning to use it for.
If you would like to purchase the internet package while on board, log in to the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and then tap “Connect to Internet”. From there, you will be able to see the different Wi-Fi packages, as well as the pricing options. The different pricing options are dependent on the plan you choose and are only available once on board.
If you’re trying to connect with your family while on board, you’ll be happy to know that the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App offers a handy
chat feature so that you may chat with family, friends, and other Disney cruisers. This is complimentary, and does not require wi-fi access. I’ve also had luck using WhatsApp messaging while on board without Wi-Fi, so it’s worth looking at your current cell phone provider’s plan to see if it might work for you, also.
Tonia, I hope I was able to help you spot the Wireless Internet Access options that are right for your family. I wish you all the most amazing memories on board your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Step Into Your Destiny,
Rana
