Hi we are looking at coming sept of next yr. what is the best hotel for a family with 2 boys agees 6 and 4 when we come. I was looking at the animal kingdom lodge or the polynesian. I want them to have stuff to do at the hotel as well and have a nice pool.

    Hi!

This is a great question and a hard question!  There is no doubt that a Disney Deluxe Resort provides you with the most services and amenities and usually the best theming and location. The Polynesian, and the other Magic Kingdom Monorail Resorts, will give you easy access to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. That makes it easy to return to your hotel for an afternoon nap or a break from the theme parks. The Polynesian is my favorite resort on the monorail line.

However, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a favorite of young children. It is great being able to see the animals right outside the resort. The resort is also beautiful with a great pool and restaurants. My youngest son, age 8, always wants to stay there. However, it is a little remote and it takes longer to get back to your room for a nap from most places in Walt Disney World.

If you want to save money, you should consider the brand new Art of Animation Resort. It is a fabulous place to stay and young children absolutely love it.  It has a great food court and a great pool and playground for kids!

This is a hard decision. I hope this helps. Good luck and please write back with more questions.
