Looking at coming in 2024. At the hotels that have the gondolas you have to ride in to get to certain parks, are buses still available too? Not sure the 4 year old would ride in the sky like that. Thank you

    Hi Benjy,

How exciting to be planning on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your preschooler next year!  There are so many memories ready to be made, and I bet you are having a great time making your plans.

The Disney Skyliner is almost an attraction itself to many vacationers.  I remember when my whole family of 7 experienced it for the first time and we were amazed at how much room each gondola had.  One of my teens isn't a fan of heights, and she ended up preferring this transportation method over the other options available to us at the time.  Riding the Disney Skyliner is definitely an "ooh" and "ahh" type of activity and isn't scary for most individuals so you might be surprised if your little one wants to experience it.  In fact, my family liked it so much that we are planning on staying at a Disney Resort hotel that has the Disney Skyliner as a transportation option for our 2024 Walt Disney World family vacation.  There are currently four Disney Resort hotels which offer Disney Skyliner as an option for transportation, and they are:
However, if experiencing the Disney Skyliner isn't the best choice for your family, have no worries!  You and your family are still welcome to use the Walt Disney World Bus Service and other transportation means from your Disney Resort hotel.  Additionally, during times of high winds or if lightning is in the area, Guests will need to use the other transportation options while the Disney Skyliner closes temporarily out of caution.

Have a Magical vacation, Benjy!  Please come back and visit us here at planDisney with all of your future vacation planning questions.
