Howdy, Ashley!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love how eagerly you are preparing for your vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!
I know it can be frustrating when an attraction is unexpectedly closed. To minimize any disappointment, I want to let you know how you can be as prepared as possible for attraction closures. You will want to periodically check the
Daily Events Schedule online for your vacation dates. This is updated approximately six weeks in advance. This handy schedule tells you the times of entertainment offerings like parades, fireworks, shows, and even musical acts in the parks. You will see schedules for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. On this schedule, scroll down to the "Closed for Refurbishment" section listed under each park. This will list any attractions or shops that are closed for scheduled refurbishment. Keep in mind that, of course, any attraction could potentially close unexpectedly throughout the day, so keep your eyes on the Disneyland app for real-time wait times and updates.
When it comes to attractions for toddlers, you will be surprised at just how many there are. Any
attraction that does not have a height requirement is safe for Guests of all ages and heights (including infants). Some of my toddler's favorites are Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world," Haunted Mansion, and Pixar Pal-A-Round to name a few. My son also loves the many forms of transportation around the Resort like the Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, and Main Street Vehicles. Once your child hits 32" they can actually experience slightly more thrilling attractions like Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, and Autopia.
Please return if you have any other questions as you plan your trip. You've got a friend in me!
