We are looking at coming back to disney world in 2019/20 & want to get annual passes. Buying them now will save us money. I know we won't get the magic bands (we're in Australia) but are there any other issues with us purchasing AP?

Hi, Emma! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

How exciting that you are planning another magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! As an Annual Passholder, you will be issued a MagicBand. Since you are in Australia and these are not shipped there, you will have to provide Disney with an address where they can send your MagicBand at least 11 days before you plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort. According to the Cast Member that I spoke to, as an Annual Passholder, you will not be able to pick up your MagicBand upon arrival even though you are not visiting from the United States of America. That being said, I would call and confirm with a Cast Member well before that 11-day mark, just to be safe.

In terms of purchasing your Annual Pass now and activating it later, I do not see an issue with this other than having to pay the price difference if the price of an Annual Pass goes up, which is important to keep in mind when budgeting.

I hope this answers your questions and you enjoy the great feeling of being able to call yourself an Annual Passholder!
