Hi, Cassandra! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your magical vacation is only a couple of weeks away. You must be so excited!
Rider Switch Service at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks helps families with little Mouseketeers who do not yet meet the height requirements for certain
attractions. The rules regarding services such as Rider Switch are always evolving to better meet guests' needs, so it's great that you are seeking clarification on the use of Rider Switch.
In order to use the Rider Switch Service, you and your entire travel party should speak to a Cast Member at the attraction entrance. The Cast Member will scan everyone's
MagicBand or admission ticket card and issue a Rider Switch entitlement. One adult will wait with the non-rider(s) while the rest of the party waits in the standby queue to experience the attraction. Once the riders exit, the waiting adult can skip the regular line and board the ride with up to two other guests from your party. This saves your family from having to wait in the standby line twice.
If you wish to use
FastPass+ along with Rider Switch, you may certainly do so. However, according to the most recent rules that were shared with the Disney Parks Moms Panel, all members of your party who plan to experience the attraction must have a valid FastPass+.
I hope this clears up any confusion for you. Please visit us again if you have any additional vacation planning questions. Have a magical day!
Samantha
