We are looking to do a character meal with the princesses. We want to see all of them, so is the Akershus the best option? ALSO - do you have to purchase tickets to Epcot the day of your meal? Our kids are young so we are planning on Magic Kingdom only

    Hi Traci,

Thanks for writing!  I'll start with part two of your question first.  You do, indeed, need valid admission to Epcot in order to dine at Akershus (or any other venue inside the park).  So if you don't plan on visiting the park, I would recommend 1900 Park Fare, which features Cinderella, Prince Charming, and her step sisters or Cinderella's Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom.  Here, your children will be able to have a special photo with Cinderella and while you are dining, several princesses will visit your table.  Characters are subject to change, but these can include, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Belle and Jasmine.

If you change your minds and decide to spend all or part of a day at Epcot, rest assured that there are several wonderful attractions for young children, including The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Gran Fiesta Tour Staring the Three Caballeros (at Mexico), Turtle Talk with Crush and Journey into Imagination with Figment.  Akershus features a number of princesses that change regularly.  Recently, I have seen Mary Poppins, Mulan and Snow White here.

    Have a magical trip!
