Hiya, Megan! Welcome to planDisney!
One of our favorite topics around here is all the amazing dining experiences you can savor at the Walt Disney World Resort, so you've definitely found some friends in us! Let's make sure your meals are absolutely magical.
If you'd like to dine with some of your favorite Disney pals, there are plenty of ways to do just that. A great place to start is on the
Dining page on the Walt Disney World website. Just under the heading that says "Restaurants to Suit Your Style," you'll see "Character Dining" as the very first listing. That will take you directly to a list of all restaurants currently offering character experiences. Here are your choices as we're chatting right now:
-
Chef Mickey's -
Garden Grill Restaurant -
Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and His Pals (at The Four Seasons Resort Orlando)
-
Hollywood & Vine -
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera -
Tusker House RestaurantWhile you will get some one-on-one time with each character, do keep in mind that you'll be interacting from a distance. They can't give us hugs or autographs just yet, but feel free to say hello and snap a selfie!
As the Walt Disney World Resort continues to open more and more dining locations, there are a couple of buffets now available. Going back to the
main restaurant listings page where we found the character dining list, look for the "Filter By" tab near the top of the page. Click on the arrow next to "Dining Experience," then uncheck "Character Dining" and check "Buffet" (you can also check "Family Style" to include restaurants that serve all-you-care-to-eat dishes at your table). That gives you a list of restaurants currently operating as buffets. Right now, that includes only
Biergarten Restaurant,
Boma - Flavors of Africa, and
The Crystal Palace.
For updates on dining during the reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, you'll find lots of info on the
Know Before You Go page.
Wow, I've really worked up an appetite! I hope this helps you enjoy the fabulous food at the Walt Disney World Resort, Megan, and I wish you a truly magical vacation!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
