i am looking into where to celebrate my 1 year olds birthday . what can i do at disney for her ? also where can i book tickets for us and the family at an affordable price? we are a family of 4 not including my baby.

How ya doin' Damaris and welcome to planDisney!

A big bright Happy Birthday to your beautiful baby girl. This is going to be an event to remember and there's no better place to celebrate than The Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to get her a Happy Birthday button at Guest Services at whichever Disney Park you choose. Let's discuss some options to make it the best day ever!

While all of the theme parks have their own pixie dust to offer, Magic Kingdom Park would be a great place to be to kick off your daughter's special day. You have to tackle all of the baby-friendly favorites like Dumbo the Flying Elephant, "it's a small world", and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. You can even take her to give hugs to our pal Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater. And if you can snag a dining reservation at select dining locations like Be Our Guest or Cinderella's Royal Table you can ask a Cast Member upon arrival if there are any Mickey Mouse celebration cakes available.  But the most important thing I can suggest is booking a Capture Your Moment photo session in Magic Kingdom Park. Even though baby girl won't remember the day, you will and these photos will be there for you to look at and cry over for years to come. This 20-minute session with a photographer can be booked online or by calling 407-939-7758.

Now as for where to book your tickets, you can do that right on the My Disney Experience app! If you haven't already, download it to your mobile device and make yourself a profile. You can then tap the icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and tap Tickets and Passes. You can tap the Select Tickets icon and then choose Theme Park Tickets. Follow the prompts to select your Ticket type, your dates, and the number of Tickets you'll need.

Pro tip: In addition to your Tickets you'll need Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System. Before you've purchased anything, check the availability calendar to make sure there's room at the park you want. If what you want is available, go ahead and make that purchase and the reservations immediately after!

Damaris, these special milestones are some of the best parts of parenting. Be sure to soak up every bit of the magic that you can. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
