Looking at buying mickey ears to announce our trip. What would be a better option for a 4 and 1yr old. The ears in hat style, head band with ears, or novelty hats? Which would be more comfortable? Too many to choose from! Monogram at parks- long wait time?

    Hi, Brandi!

Oh, my goodness! What a spectacular way to announce a trip to Walt Disney World!

When my son was that age, the hat that I first purchased for him--and was so grateful that I did--was this Mickey Mouse Baseball Cap for Kids, which is available at DisneyStore.com, in the Disney Parks Product tab. What I love about this hat is those unmistakable Mickey ears, in the comfort of a baseball cap. This means that you get the pop of those adorable, iconic ears AND the hat stays in place while providing the little wearer's face with shade from the sun, too.

When I have had Ear Hats personalized at Magic Kingdom's The Chapeau, we have not had to wait too long. Should there be a few hats ahead of yours, though, you can always drop off your order and return later in the day to pick it up. I've done that, too, when I had to get to a dining reservation but the hat would take about 20 minutes to finish. So easy!

Have a blast with your big announcement, Brandi! So fun!

Send us more questions as you plan your visit, too; we love to help!
