Looking to buy Annual Passes. If I have an AP voucher that is not active until my visit in a few months, how do I find out about and take advantage of any resort discounts? I don't have an annual pass number to tie to my acct yet.

Hi Jenny! Many guests like to wait until they are ready to come to Disney for a visit before buying their Annual Pass. This way it becomes activated on their first day versus sitting activated until they arrive. However, until you actually activate your pass you won't be able to take advantage of the specials some of the resorts might offer. You will not be asked for a number when calling to book a room but you will have to show them a valid annual pass upon check-in. Ultimately, you can book on the phone for the Annual Pass rate but you will need to stop by a Guest Relations window to activate a pass before checking in. Your best location for this would be at Downtown Disney.

Resorts will vary with availability for these special discounts and there are blackout dates throughout the year. Call reservations and see if there is a good time at the resort of your choice when they have rooms offered under the special rates.  But don't forget to get that Annual Pass activated before you check in or you will be paying the regular rate for that resort!
