We were looking at bringing our kids but the baby this will be her first time so I was wondering are there any character meets and fireworks and parades going on in March

Hi there, Charlotte! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. Let's get your family ready for some fun at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Taking little ones for their very first visit to Walt Disney World is as much fun for us as it is for them, isn't it? My son made his Disney debut when he was only seven months old, and he's been a regular ever since! I've loved watching him discover the magic as he's grown from a curious toddler to a sophisticated almost-middle-schooler. There's truly something for all ages at Walt Disney World!

There have been a few changes since Disney began its phased reopening of the Theme Parks and Resort hotels last summer. One change is that the traditional parades, fireworks, and character experiences aren't being done in quite the same way in order to keep Guests and Cast Members safe. While we don't know when those experiences might come back, your youngest Mouseketeer can still see her Disney pals! Keep an eye out for special character cavalcades throughout the day in all four Theme Parks. In the Magic Kingdom Park, for example, you can see the Mickey and Friends Cavalcade, A Goofy Cavalcade, the Royal Princess Processional, and more. The cavalcades consist of one or two floats making their way through the Park with several characters aboard. Your little ones can wave and blow kisses to the characters as they pass by, which can make for a sweet memory. The cavalcades don't run on a set schedule, but you're sure to see them several times as you tour the Theme Parks. And keep your eyes peeled, Charlotte, because you never know when you might spot some Country Bears up on a balcony or Winnie the Pooh chasing butterflies on the lawn!

And of course, there are plenty of attractions the whole family can enjoy, like Peter Pan's Flight at the Magic Kingdom, The Seas with Nemo and Friends at EPCOT, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and lots, lots more! Disney has a really helpful guide to planning a visit with preschoolers and little ones with tons of ideas and activities to have the youngest Guests enjoying all the magic!

I hope this helps you plan an Incredible family vacation at Walt Disney World, Charlotte. Please come see us again if you have any more questions. Have so much fun!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
