I am looking to bring my 2 year old to Disney for her birthday. She will be 2 when purchasing tickets but will turn 3 the week we are in Disney since we are going for her birthday week. Can I get by without purchasing a ticket for her?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for coming by to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Walt Disney World Resort is my favorite place for a celebration and it will be perfect for your little princess's birthday! Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button for her so Cast Members and other Guests can help make her birthday vacation extra special.

Guests who are 2 years old and under are considered special Guests of Mickey Mouse himself and receive complimentary admission to the theme parks and water parks. Since Walt Disney World Resort really does keep you young, Guests don't age while they are on vacation and your daughter's age at the start of your trip will be considered her age for your entire vacation for ticketing purposes. So if your little princess will be 2 years old at the beginning of your trip and turns 3 during your vacation, then you won't need to purchase theme park tickets for her and you can save a little bit of money for extra Dole Whips and souvenEARs!

Be sure to add your little one's birthday celebration to your dining reservations by calling (407) 939-1947. Let us know if you have additional questions as you continue making plans for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
