I am looking to books 2 nights in a Disney hotel. I am only going to be able to attend 1 day. If I book my tickets separately do I still get the extra as if I am booking a package? It's my son's first time and we are excited but on a budget

Welcome to planDisney, Krysta. Whether you are looking to plan an extravagant vacation, one on a budget, or in between, we are always happy to help Guests plan!

If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will get access to Early Theme Park Entry and free parking at the theme parks as long as you visit the parks during one of the days you have a hotel reservation (arrival and departure days count). This is the case even if you purchase the hotel room and tickets separately. If you choose to stay at a Deluxe Resort, you will also get access to Extended Evening Hours if they are offered when you are there. And as always, be sure to check back as your vacation gets closer because policies are subject to change.

Since you're on a budget, make sure you look into the Value Hotels to save some money. My favorites are Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. Both of these resorts are on the Disney Skyliner route which makes transportation to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios very easy. Keep in mind that if you want to experience more than one park in a day, you'd need to add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket. Even though it'll make the price of your ticket more expensive, if you're going to be spending a morning in one park and then an afternoon in another, it can be a great value as you get to experience so much more!

Krysta, I hope you have a wonderful time this holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to stop and take in all of the decorations, eat some festive snacks, and savor all the holiday feels. And be sure to reach out directly to me if you have any other questions.

Happiness is the richest thing we will ever own,
    Matt
