Hi we're looking at booking via the official Disneyland Paris website for hotel and tickets. Our toddler will turn 3 when we are there. On the website it is counting him as an infant for the whole holiday, is this correct or does he need a ticket?

    Bonjour!

Welcome to planDisney, Emma! I love helping fellow UK Guests plan their perfect trips to Disney destinations all around the world! We love celebrating our two boys’ birthdays whilst on holiday whenever we can. Our most recent birthday trip was one where our youngest turned 2, and our eldest turned 4 at Walt Disney World. October is a busy month in our house!

Hotel + Ticket Packages booked directly through the Disneyland Paris website will prompt you to enter the date of birth for all Guests at the time of booking, and your price will be based on each Guest’s age on the date of arrival. So, if your son turns 3 after your check-in day, they will remain priced as an infant for the duration of your stay and will not require a Disney Park ticket.

If you were to stay off Disney property and purchase Disney Park tickets separately, your toddler would not require a ticket before their birthday. However, they would then require a ticket for each day they visit the Disney Parks from their 3rd birthday onwards.

June will be a brilliant time to visit Disneyland Paris, as you will be among the first Guests to experience all the magic of Disney Adventure World! This huge expansion and reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park will include World of Frozen, featuring a state-of-the-art walking and talking Olaf. You will also want to keep your eyes peeled for Mossie, the baby troll! The park will also debut a brand new nighttime spectacular, Disney Cascade of Lights, which will complement Disney Tales of Magic over at Disneyland Park perfectly.

Have you thought about how you might celebrate the big day? My family loves marking milestones in the Disney Parks with a character dining experience. There is nothing quite like seeing my boys’ faces light up as their favourite characters visit the table. Disney Adventure World will also introduce a brand new character dining location, Regal View Restaurant, on the shores of Adventure Bay. It will be the perfect spot to meet Disney Princesses - my sons love meeting the princesses, as they have been brought up watching Mulan, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty!

I hope this answers your question, Emma, and that you have a brilliant visit to Disneyland Paris. On behalf of all of us here at planDisney, Happy Birthday to your soon to be 3 year old - they grow up far too quickly! If you have any further questions as you continue to plan your trip, please reach out to me. I'd love to help!

    To infinity and beyond!
