Hello! I am looking into booking a trip for myself and my best friend now for October of 2019 but am not for sure if she can go yet or not. Am I able to change my reservation from 2 people to 1 person without cancelling the whole trip and starting over?

Hello Jessica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Some of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort vacation experiences have been with just me and my best friend. You definitely get to experience everything differently when you travel as 2 Adults.

As far as making changes for your Reservations, be sure to look into the Terms and Conditions for your booking to ensure that you cancel the 1 guest before you forfeit any fees. While it would be disappointing to not get to go on vacation with your best friend, losing out on your payments may make it even worse.

To alter the number of Guests on a Walt Disney World Resort Reservation, I recommend that you speak with a Cast Member by calling (407)939-1936 to make the necessary changes. A Cast Member will be able to ensure that most of your Reservations are left untouched by the alteration. If you make the changes yourself through My Disney Experience and make any mistakes, it becomes harder to recover without changes.

This is usually a quick and easy process for a Cast Member to handle.
