Hi Karen. Welcome to planDisney, the happiest place on the internet for Disney vacation planning advice.
At this time,
dining plans can usually be added to qualifying vacation packages up to 48 hours in advance. Since you are booking with a third party, it's important to check with them and to read their terms and conditions
and those of the Walt Disney World Resort to ensure that you will be eligible to add the dining plan at a later date.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I think I need to tell you something shocking: I have never personally used a dining plan! While I think it's a wonderful value and so incredibly convenient, I'm a habitual snacker when I'm at the
Walt Disney World Resort. I'm always on the hunt for the
latest and greatest snack, plus I need to eat all of the classics that I love. And on past trips, I just didn't always have the stomach space left for a full meal! However, that's starting to change a bit. As I get wiser (definitely not older), I now make the time for a nice table-service meal each day to relax and enjoy the delicious cuisine, the wonderful ambiance, and the incredible service. So I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to book the Disney Dining Plan as part of a vacation package soon because it's starting to fit my new park eating habits!
Happy planning, Karen! If you have any other questions,
I'm ready to help!
Pull the lever,
Matt
