Hi! We are looking at booking a trip in January 2026. I have heard that rides close down in January for refurbishment. I was wondering what rides may be closed during this time? Thank you!

Hi Shelby! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to send us your question!

Starting the new year at The Happiest Place on Earth sounds like the best New Year's resolution! I'm so happy to hear you're planning a vacation to be there! We don't know the refurbishment schedule yet for January 2026. The Daily Events Schedule is released approximately six weeks out, and ride closures, if any, will be listed under Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the schedule. Typically, the attractions that have holiday overlays like Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday will be temporarily closed once the Holidays are over, beginning on January 8th. If the non-holiday version of these rides is on your must-do list, I recommend considering visiting on dates later in January.

If you haven't already done so, be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile App before you arrive. The app gives you quick and easy access to your Theme Park Tickets, attraction wait times, entertainment schedules, and much more! You can use the app to find dining locations, view menus, and check in for your dining reservations.

If you have more planning questions, please feel free to send them to us at planDisney. We're all ears, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
