    I am looking at booking a resort hotel at the end of the year, and wanted to confirm the cancellation policy on hotel stays. What is the latest that a reservation can be cancelled for full refund?

    Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney!

    I'm excited that you are considering a stay at a Disney Resorts hotel later this year! There is nothing quite like being immersed in the Disney magic from the moment you arrive onsite!

    Michael, if you decide to book a room-only reservation at a Disney Resorts hotel, you will have up to five days before your arrival to cancel your booking to receive a full refund. If you cancel within four days, you will lose the cost of a one-night stay, which is essentially the deposit. You practically will have a worry-free booking up until just a few days before your stay. I highly suggest making your reservations as soon as possible since they fill up fast, especially for the time of year you plan to visit!

    If you are planning to book a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts hotel reservation and park tickets, there is a different cancellation policy to follow. You'll have up to 30 days before your arrival to cancel your booking to receive a full refund. If you cancel 2-29 days before your visit, you'll incur a $200 cancellation fee (subject to change at any time). If you cancel the day before your visit, you will forfeit the entire amount paid.

    Let's switch gears and discuss some fun things you can look forward to during your stay. If you're a thrill seeker, TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are must-do attractions. While I won't give away any spoilers, make sure to put these rides at the top of your priority list when visiting the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT!
