I am looking at booking Pop Century Resort for May 2019. I am wondering if it is worth it to pay extra for the preferred rooms to be closer to dining and transportation or are the standard rooms not too much of a hike? Noise level in preferred area?

    Hi Candy!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney's Pop Century Resort was the first Walt Disney World Resort hotel my family ever stayed in, and we've had many more trips there since!

The preferred rooms are closer to Classic Hall, but there are plenty of standard rooms that are not much further of a walk. The 80s Building can be a hike, so I would try to avoid that building if possible. I usually request 50s or 70s Building by Hourglass Lake. It may be a little bit further the closer you are to the lake, but I find it more peaceful there.

With the extra exercise and the savings, then I usually have more money for snacks! And now they serve Dole Whips at Pop Century, so that's an extra bonus.
