Hi Julainne!
Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort Vacation Package question to us hEAR!
This is a great question! Disneyland Resort recently introduced
date-based variable tickets where the amount per
Theme Park Admission Ticket depends on things like time of year and even the day of the week of your visit. For example, a Wednesday in February might be a tier 2 price whereas a Friday in June might be a tier 5. The higher levels of ticket tiers can always be used on lower-tier days (ex: a tier four ticket could be redeemed on a tier two day), but lower tickets would need to be upgraded to be used on a higher tier day by paying the price difference between the two tiers. Sadly, tier upgrades can only be done in person at this time, which makes waiting a bit risky as
Park Pass Reservations may not be available the same day that an upgrade is made.
I actually have a question to ask you, which is what kind of Disneyland Vacation Package are you thinking about booking? Typically packages at both a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or a
Disney Good Neighbor Hotel include your hotel room as well as your theme park admission tickets. While you do get to select the number of nights you'd like to stay and the number of days worth of tickets you'd like to play, I do want to mention that the
date-based tier prices only apply to 1-day tickets. If you purchase 2-day, 3-day, etc tickets, you won't be subjected to worrying about the tiers, you'll just select how many days you'll be in the parks, which dates you'll be visiting, and
which park you'd like to be in on those days.
I hope that this helped to clEAR your question up, Julainne! Be sure to follow the
