Hello Anna!
Welcome to planDisney! Between the beautiful decorations and festive fun, the holidays are certainly a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. I’m also planning a trip this holiday season and can’t wait to enjoy the
Candlelight Processional at EPCOT!
Given the popularity of the Candlelight Processional, you’re wise to think ahead about reserving a dining package. Details have not yet been released on celebrity narrators or Candlelight Processional Dining Packages, but I'm hoping we'll hear something real soon! With the dining packages that accompany festival performances at EPCOT, you not only get to enjoy a fantastic meal at a select restaurant, but you also receive guaranteed VIP seating for the show that evening. Currently,
Eat to the Beat Dining Packages are offered during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. I was able to confirm with a Cast Member that you cannot use the
Disney Dining Plan for these packages. I know that this doesn't exactly answer your question, but it may be an indication of what we can expect with festival dining packages in the future.
Anna, I hope this information helps you make the best decision for your family when it comes to deciding whether or not to add the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package. If you're looking for some great options to maximize the value of the dining plan, I suggest looking at
character dining. Many of these restaurants redeem just one Table-Service meal per Guest and provide great entertainment as well as delicious food! One of my favorites at the holidays is
Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine where Minnie Mouse and friends wear their holiday best to celebrate the season! When making a reservation for this experience, it's important to note that Minnie's Seasonal Dining is only available during lunch and dinner.
As you continue to plan for your visit, please be sure to
check out all of the amazing holiday offerings at Walt Disney World Resort and stop by to see us again here at planDisney if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Kristi
