We are looking at booking for Oct 2011. My daughter will be 2 yrs old. We are unable to book daycare until 75 days before departure. How quickly does the center fill up? My fear is we book now and then will not have availability for adult time.

    Hi Christy!

My son's first trip to Walt Disney World was just after he turned 2 years old. We have such fond memories of that adventure. Thankfully during that vacation, we had help from grandparents. However, on future visits when he was older, we did take advantage of the on-site childcare options. For example, our son has spent two separate occasions at Simba's Cubhouse.

The Children's Activity Centers at resort hotels are for children ages 3 - 12. A recent change set the minimum age at 3 instead of 4 years old.

For children under 2, you may want to consider Kid's Night Out. From 6 weeks to 18 years of age, Kid's Night Out can help with your childcare needs. I do not have personal experience using an in-room childcare service but I have heard lots of positive feedback. Kid's Night Out must be contacted directly at (407) 828-0920. The good news is that they are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Don't hesitate to look into the reviews about Kid's Night Out. A simple internet search should yield the information for you to decide if this service suits your family's needs. Then give them a call and ask any questions that might help alleviate your babysitting concerns.

I hope you decide to visit in October. It's a wonderful time of year to visit WDW!
