Howdy Hayley!
Welcome to planDisney. I’m so excited that you are planning a vacation to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. My fellow panelist, Abi, lives in Great Britain and always has great tips to share for those traveling across the pond. I know this is always a big trip, so let's get to your question so you can continue planning.
Guests staying at a
Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel can book advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to their arrival, but not for the entire length of their stay (up to 10 nights). Reservations open at 6 AM Eastern Standard Time, and you will need to book them each day for the duration of your vacation. You do get the benefit of early theme park entry, which gives you 30 minutes of early access before the official park opening. This will allow you to get a jump start on some of the most popular rides and experiences before other guests arrive. I’ve also found that many Good Neighbor Hotels offer shuttles to and from the parks, so I would inquire with your hotel for specifics, such as times and availability.
Although you won’t have the benefit of making dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, I have found that you can typically secure most of your desired reservations by continually checking availability before arrival. Many times, guests’ plans change, and they have to cancel a reservation. I would be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app, as you can use it to check availability anytime and anywhere. You never know when a little pixie dust will come your way.
Hayley, I hope that you and your family have an absolutely magical time visiting Walt Disney World and that all of your dining dreams come true. Please stop back by with any further questions, and we’ll be happy to answer.
See ya real soon,
Robert
