Hello, Amy! Thanks for cruising to us at planDisney with your question. I would be happy to help.
I'm a mom to a teenager and an almost-teenager who both think a Disney Cruise is the ultimate family vacation. My son loves
Vibe, and my daughter cannot wait to join the fun there, too. Yes, a 13-year-old is permitted to attend the activities at Vibe as long as a consent form is signed by the guardians traveling with the teenager for the sailing. I hope that is great news for your daughter! You can visit Vibe on embarkation day to sign the form. I highly encourage her to attend any games held on the first night there. It's a great way to make friends right away.
If your daughter has a smartphone, she can download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Once on board the ship, your daughter can use the app to view the Daily Activity schedule and even chat with friends she meets on board. Each Guest has a unique Chat ID, and to use the chat function in the app, your daughter and any friends she meets can share their Chat IDs to connect. I know my son would send out a message to his friends to meet at Vibe!
Amy, I'm wishing you a most wonderful sailing. If you have additional questions, please cruise back to us. We'll be here for you!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
