Ahoy There, Jessica!
Welcome aboard planDisney. How exciting that you are thinking of sailing to the great wide somewhere on a
Disney Cruise Line adventure using a combination of your Disney Vacation Points and cash. Our family did this on our last cruise, and it was a wonderful way to use our DVC Points to reduce the cost of our cruise - affording us the chance to enjoy the magic of Disney in a different way.
Jessica, while eligible Disney Vacation Club Members do receive many
discounts on tickets, tours, events, and experiences, unfortunately, we do not receive discounts for booking Disney Cruises. Eligible Members do receive some onboard shopping and activity discounts and benefits, and you can find that
current list here. If you would like to use a combination of your
Vacation Points and cash, you can do so; however, at least one person in your party must be paid for in full using Vacation Points, and the rest can be paid for with cash. You just can't split the cost of a person with Vacation Points and cash.
To inquire about booking your Disney Cruise using your Vacation Points and cash, you can call
Member Services. They are like Fairy Godparents - all-knowing and able to make your vacation dreams come true with a "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo." They can assist you with how many Vacation Points you would need for the sailing and stateroom category you are inquiring about, as well as what the remaining cash balance would be after using your available Vacation Points.
Here's a tip for you, Jessica! When you are on your Disney Cruise, exploring dazzling places you never knew, be sure to stop by the DVC desk. Often, Members receive some "Welcome Home" gifts on the ship and are typically invited to a Members-only event during the sailing.
I hope this helps you, Jessica! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, sail back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
