I am looking at booking over Christmas Park days of 24, 25, 26. Stay 23-27 at Disney World. What is the advantage of staying on property. What parks are best for 4 year old girl (almost 5) and 2 year old boy. We have been to Disney land.

Welcome to planDisney Olivia, and thank you so much for your question! I'm especially excited to help with this one because visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays is my absolute favorite time of year. From the festive decorations and twinkling lights to the seasonal treats and magical memories around every corner, there's truly nothing like it.  Staying at Walt Disney World over Christmas is an unforgettable experience, especially with little ones in tow.

Staying on property comes with some really helpful perks especially during the busy holiday season. First, you'll get Early Theme Park Entry into every park each day, which can make a big difference when you're visiting with young kids who tend to be up and ready early. Disney Resort hotels also include complimentary transportation, so you can easily get from your hotel to the parks without worrying about parking or navigating traffic. Plus, there's just something special about the Disney magic continuing even after you leave the parks for the day. Resorts are beautifully decorated for the holidays, and many offer fun activities or character sightings that your little ones will love.

For your 4 year old and 2 year old, Magic Kingdom is absolutely the best park. It’s full of rides and attractions that are perfect for their ages like Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, and it’s a small world. There’s also plenty of room to just explore, snack, and enjoy entertainment like the parades and castle shows, which feel especially magical at Christmastime.

After Magic Kingdom, consider visiting Animal Kingdom. Kids love seeing real animals up close on Kilimanjaro Safaris, and there are great shows like Festival of the Lion King that are fun and engaging even for toddlers. Hollywood Studios can also be a good choice, especially if your daughter is into Frozen or Toy Story. There are fun shows, character moments, and areas designed for younger guests.

Since you've been to Disneyland, it’s good to know that Disney World is much larger, so staying on property really helps cut down on travel time and keeps the experience easy. It also means you'll have access to the convenience of your resort if you need a midday nap or break, which is a lifesaver with little ones.

Olivia, I hope this helps as you plan a holiday visit filled with wonder, joy, and unforgettable moments for your whole family. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney, we're always here to help with planning tips and Disney magic. Wishing you a truly merry and magical vacation!
