Hi Anthony! Welcome to planDisney!
I hope you are enjoying the planning stage of your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation as much as I do! This is the part where you become your own Disney Imagineer and create an amazing trip for you and your family!
Disney's All-Star Resorts are the perfect place to be a part of the magic while offering a reasonable price for your stay. Each of the three resorts has everything you need at your fingertips, including dining options, recreation, and amenities. Each one is also incredibly themed with larger-than-life décor weaved throughout the entire resort.
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and
Disney's All-Star Music Resort have recently re-opened since closing down two years ago. Both have seen complete refurbishments of the lobby areas and re-imagined rooms including two queen size beds, one of which folds up into the wall when not in use. Disney has done a great job of utilizing as much space in the rooms to make Guests feel comfortable.
Disney's All-Star Sports is currently still closed but has a re-opening date scheduled for March 31st. This date has been pushed on a few occasions, which signals to me that Disney is possibly working on the refurbishments to this resort and want to complete them before opening back up. Disney has announced in the past that all three of the All-Star Resorts are expected to undergo complete overhauls, which would mean that Disney's All-Star Sports is the last part of this plan.
Since all three of these resorts are located directly next to each other and are typically about the same price, I don't believe you will go wrong with choosing any of these options. If you have your heart set on All-Star Sports, I suggest making your reservations at this resort. When the resort opens back up and it is clear that not all of the rooms have been renovated, you can always decide to switch your resort before your stay (depending on availability at that current time).
Anthony, I hope you have a blast planning your Walt Disney World stay!
See ya real soon!
