Hello, looking to book 2 weeks to come in August/ September next year which would be hotel in Disney and tickets, we will book flights separately as we are traveling on from Disney. What is the cancellation policy if we book with deposit please

Hey Howdy Hey Clare and welcome to planDisney!

It is super exciting to hear that you are planning your Magical vacation for next year. There have been so many great things happening this past year and many exciting things to come in the parks to give anyone a reason to visit. Thank you for your question about the terms and conditions for vacation package planning. You've got a friend in me to give you the details on the specifics so you can better prepare for your vacation.

When booking vacations with Disney, typically these will be in the form of vacation packages which include Theme Park Tickets and a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel as well as several other optional additions. Terms and conditions for 2025 are very similar to years past. To secure your reservation a deposit is required. Once your deposit is paid, your final total will be due 30 days before your date of arrival. If you have to cancel your trip for any reason before your final payment is due, any amount paid will be refunded. Cancelations made between 2 and 29 days from your date of arrival will incur a $200.00 penalty and anything canceled less than 2 days will not be refunded. Keep in mind these amounts quoted are subject to change without notice.

As many Walt Disney World Resort vacationgoers do, we like to plan our trips far out in advance. I would be worth looking into travel insurance as you are planning. This can insure your trip if anything comes up that you may not have expected and can help a ton in recovering any lost amounts paid. Disney does have an option to purchase Travel Insurance as you move through the steps of booking which you won't have to make any final decisions until your final payment is due. Many other products are available online and may even be offered by your insurance company through your home or auto insurance. It never hurts to get a few quotes but make sure to look over the policies because they are not all created equally!

I hope this helps to clarify the process when booking so you are confident in your decision. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
