Mom And Daughter Horseback Riding Excursion

    We are looking to book a vacation in July for 4 adults and 2 children and are looking for pros and cons of staying at the contemporary in 2 rooms vs. Bay Lake Towers in a 2 bedroom Villa. The children will be 5 and 2.

    Hi Tiffany! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love Disney's Contemporary Resort, it's iconic! But given the choice I'm always going to go with a villa that offers all the amenities of home away from home like a full kitchen and washer/dryer. So for me it would have to be Bay Lake at Disney's Contemporary Resort. They're literally attached so you'll still enjoy all the benefits of being super close to Magic Kingdom and the monorail - and you'll save the $95 fee for reserving a Disney Collection resort. Plus I always think it's more fun to have everyone together.

    With a full kitchen you can stretch those vacation dollars by cooking meals and fixing snacks. Your kitchen comes fully equipped with cookware, a complete table setting, flatware, small bottle of dish detergent and sponge, paper towels, dishcloths...all the "hardware" so all you need to bring your own groceries, spices, condiments and extras to make your meals perfect. Having a washer and dryer is an added bonus that I love too because as I've learned, laundry never takes a vacation.

    Lastly another bonus of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is The Top of the World Lounge - on the 16th floor of the tower. As a Disney Vacation Club member, you'll have exclusive access to the lounge where you can enjoy light food and cocktails while you watch the amazing view of the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the best seat in the house.
