Hi, we are looking to book a vacation end of Sept 2020 for 5 adults (sharing a room). Can you use a Fl resident discount in booking a package and still get the free dining plan or would you recommend booking separately to get the room discount? Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I love hearing about people planning an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It's just so much fun, choosing a resort, picking restaurants for dining, and making FastPass+ selections.  You should know that you cannot combine discounts when making reservations.  You could choose a Florida Resident rate for your resort OR a free Disney Dining Plan with a full-priced resort reservation. You may discover that you save more by selecting the room discount, largely because offers such as free dining often require a ticket purchase.  If you happen to be Florida Resident Annual Passholders, you may not have a need for additional park tickets, so a discounted room may be a better choice for you even if you pay full price for the Disney Dining Plan.  If your party is split, it is worth checking out all of your options to see what gives you the best overall price.

The amazing Cast Members at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations would love to assist you when you're ready to make your plans; luckily, they are just a quick phone call away.  Naturally, you may also consult your favorite Walt Disney World Resort travel agent.

    Happy planning!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
