Hello, Brian,
You are planning a trip to Walt Disney World during one of my favorite times of the year when the parks and resorts are filled with so much holiday cheer and magic. However, you'll also find that week to be a crowded one but with careful planning and taking advantage of
Extra Magic Hours in the morning, you can avoid the longest lines and waits.
Since there are 10 guests in your party, I am thinking you are planning on 2-3 rooms so I'll answer with that in mind. My absolute favorite resort over the holidays is
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. With its grand lobby and rustic feel, it has always epitomized Christmas for me. It is located near the Magic Kingdom, so it is just a short boat ride away from the park. As a deluxe resort, it is also more costly, but you will have plenty of amenities to spoil yourself.
Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside ia a moderate resort, so it is more budget friendly. The children in your group may find the Royal Guest Rooms a special treat as Tiana and her prince as well as some other princesses have left some royal touches for guests to enjoy. In the Alligator Bayou section of the resort, there are rooms that can have up to 5 guests.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort immerses guests into all things Disney; your children may feel as if they are actually part of an actual Disney movie with all the iconic images from popular Disney films. The resort has both family suites (sleep up to 6 guests) and standard rooms.
