Hi there, Gina, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're in the beginning stages of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm so glad you're here! With all of the fun experiences, resorts, dining, and attractions to consider, the planning process can seem a little daunting. Happily, that's why we're here!
Gina, I should start by letting you know that my Panelist pals and I are here to answer your questions about planning an unforgettable vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth. However, we're not able to book your travel for you directly. If you need assistance booking your vacation, I recommend reaching out to a helpful
Cast Member or a trusted travel agent. When you're beginning to make your plans, there are a few key places to start: choosing your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and selecting which
Disney Theme Parks to visit. If you want to visit all four parks, you'll be able to select a ticket with the park hopper option, which allows you to go to more than one park per day. Later, you'll make plans for
dining,
special experiences, Lightning Lanes, and more.
When it comes to choosing which Disney Resorts Collection hotel to call "home" during your vacation, consider which parks you'll want to visit. A few of the resorts are within walking distance of the parks, and with a quick trip like yours, you might want to maximize your time in the parks, rather than making your way to them. Disney's Contemporary Resort is very close to Magic Kingdom Park, while Disney's Beach Club Resort is within walking distance of EPCOT.
Most Disney Resorts Collection hotels can accommodate at least four people, though you might want to look into a Family Suite or a 1- or 2-Bedroom
Deluxe Villa to ensure you have ample space. Deluxe Villas feature a full kitchen and a washer in dryer, along with thoughtful storage and beautiful amenities.
Additionally, each resort is uniquely and delightfully themed. For example, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers rooms that overlook the savanna where you can watch giraffes and zebras as they graze. Disney's Art of Animation Resort makes you feel like you're part of your favorite animated movies, like Finding Nemo and The Lion King. You might love the island ambiance of Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort or the sound of jazz being played at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. You can't go wrong with any of these resorts!
My biggest tip would be to plan to spend a full day at your resort to give you a chance to relax. Whether you lounge by the pool or take advantage of fun resort activities, you'll appreciate having a break from the parks to rest.
Gina, I hope this is helpful to you as you begin to plan your vacation. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have! You have a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Jennifer
