I am looking to book a trip next fall to Fort Wilderness Cabins. The general cabins are not available, will the new cabins only be available for Disney Vacation Members? Or will they be open to both types of visitor?

Welcome to planDisney, Sarah! I love that you found us on our little corner of the internet.

Currently, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are undergoing an exciting update and are being replaced by all-new, beautiful cabins that will be a part of Disney Vacation Club. In fact, some are open right now! The new cabins are fresh and luxurious while fitting in nicely with the rustic and woodsy vibe of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I cannot wait to stay in these exciting new accommodations as this is my type of camping!

Both Disney Vacation Club members and other Guests can book these new cabins (subject to availability). At this time, non-members can book these accommodations through October 2025 as long as their dates are available. Disney Vacation Club members, whose home resort is the cabins, looking to book with their Disney Vacation Club points can book 11 months before their arrival date while other qualifying members looking to book with their points can book 7 months out.

When staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, I think catching the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a must. Not only is it a fun show with some hearty grub, it's a part of Walt Disney World Resort history. There's a reason this show has been running for over 50 years! And that's not all of the fun that's offered here. Some of the recreational activities offered at this resort are unlike any of the other resorts around the Walt Disney World Resort. Between Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long, the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, and more, this resort is action-packed and has something for everyone!

Sarah, you're going to have a wonderful visit to the resort next fall. If you have any other questions, I'll be here to answer them!

    The wilderness must be explored,
