Welcome to
planDisney, William! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today.
I'm always thinking about crowd levels when I'm planning a trip to Walt Disney World because I want to know if I'm going to be sharing space with lots of other guests during the week of my vacation. The truth is that it can be hard to predict! There are some times of the year that we know will be very busy. The rule of thumb is that if kids are out of school, they're going to be at Walt Disney World!
In my experience, a less reliable way to predict crowd sizes is through the availability of rooms at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. There are things happening at the resorts that don't really affect crowd sizes, like conferences, school groups, and sports competitions. Some groups have events at Walt Disney World where their participants might not even make it into the parks! Since the week you're planning to visit doesn't have any major holidays where people might be off school or work, I would expect average crowds. That said, you never really know! Crowd behavior is difficult to predict and while I wish it were an exact science, it's mostly based around holidays.
There are some ways to make your day more manageable if you happen to be visiting at a busy time. Most importantly, I recommend making use of
Lightning Lanes so you can skip the standby line and pack as much as possible into your theme park days. You can preselect up to three attraction return times and continue to book more as you use them throughout the day, so it's a great way to make the most of your time!
I hope this answers your question, William, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
