Hi Rachel! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
February is a great time to visit Disneyland Resort, as it generally is less crowded. However, weekends remain busier than weekdays and President's Day weekend will often bring more Guests too. If you're looking to avoid the heaviest crowds, I'd plan around those times.
My preference for a trip in February would be to visit during the week of Valentine's Day. Disneyland Resort celebrates holidays so beautifully, and I'd expect to find special festive treats, décor, and special dining options. This year, there was a special ticketed event,
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite, which looked extra sweet.
Disney Eats covered the special offerings you could find around the park this year. My family visited the parks on Valentine's Day and we treated ourselves to a special meal and handed out handmade Valentines to Characters. It was a really memorable visit!
Disneyland Resort Hotel Packages have not yet opened for next year. I would check again later this summer. These packages combine your stay with your admission tickets. This offers Guests increased value and convenience. One of the best perks of staying onsite is
Early Entry. All three Disneyland Resort Hotels offer great dining choices, magical theming, and convenient access to the parks, but my family's favorite is
Disneyland Hotel. It's got cool retro vibes and is a hop away from the Disneyland Monorail, which takes you right into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.
If you're not combining your stay with your tickets, however, you'll need to purchase your admission tickets and secure a
theme park reservation for your visit when the purchasing window opens. The theme park reservation system operates on a 120-day rolling window, so you would be purchasing and scheduling your February park visit potentially in August or September, depending on your preferred dates. If that's your plan, set a reminder for yourself on your mobile device. Dates and preferred parks do fill up, especially during popular times, so don't delay.
If you'd like to make
dining reservations, these also tend to fill up quickly and can be secured 60 days prior to your visit. My top picks for a really special meal are Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park and Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and for pure immersive magic, try Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park, where you always dine in the twilight of the bayou.
I hope you have a magical first visit, Rachel! If you have any other questions, do come back.
Elizabeth
