Hello Beth,
It's exciting to hear that you're planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! It's also great to see that you are starting out with a really solid planning approach.
As you likely know, you'll need both theme park admission tickets and theme park reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. It's always a good idea to look into the availability of theme park reservations before purchasing your theme park tickets.
You can quickly and easily check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar for the dates you are interested in visiting the theme parks. The calendar will show you which theme parks have available reservations, and which theme parks do not have any reservations available. The calendar will also show reservation availability for different types of theme park admission such as theme park tickets only and
vacation packages that combine a Resort hotel stay with theme park tickets.
It's helpful to know that if you purchase theme park tickets with the
Park Hopper Option, you could make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit in a day, and then visit other parks during the Park Hopper hours that are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. each day. Currently, a theme park reservation isn't needed other than for the first theme park you plan to visit. Using the Park Hopper option to visit other parks is dependent on the park's capacity. You can use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to receive notifications about Park Hopper availability.
After you purchase your theme park tickets, you'll want to make sure that you
link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account. You can then make theme park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system. The Disney Park Pass system will guide you to select who will be visiting the theme park, the date you'll be visiting, and the theme park you'll be visiting.
Beth, I hope these tips are helpful as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Here's wishing you a wonderful and fun visit, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today.
Jerry
