Looking to book a trip for my daughter and I. She will be 10 at the time of travel. How many days do you recommend staying - she wants to go to all the parks.

Hello, Erica and welcome to planDisney!

Erica, I'm more excited than Rapunzel fleeing her tower to help a fellow Pennsylvanian plan a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If a Disney Resorts Collection hotel fits into your budget, I highly recommend staying in the Magic. From the complimentary resort transportation to and from the theme parks to the unique and highly themed choices, my family and I love being wrapped in the fantasy of Disney from sun up to sun down.

Now, Erica, there is no "one-size-fits-all" Walt Disney World vacation, but I hope that I can give you a few things to ponder as you're planning.

First, since your daughter is wishing to visit all four theme parks, one option would be to plan a five night/six day trip. With five nights, you would be able to relax and explore the resort on your arrival day before visiting one park per day over the next four days.

Erica, from this base itinerary, you can increase or decrease as your budget and travel time allow. For example, I love to build in a rest day in the middle of our vacation. On this day we will sleep in a bit later and lounge by the pool. This also has the added bonus of slowing down the pace of the trip which helps keep all of my Mouseketeers in a better mood. While Disney days are Magical they can also be exhausting. If you think your daughter would benefit from some down time, I encourage you to consider adding an extra night without an extra park day.

Erica, I also recommend browsing through the attractions and dining options online at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If there is a standout option that your daughter might enjoy more than the others, you may want to consider a second day at that park. For example, my family and I are headed to the Walt Disney World Resort next month and we have two days planned to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios so that my boys have extra time to live out their Star Wars adventure

Once you've had a chance to consider this information I hope to see you hEAR again at planDisney with more questions. My fellow panelists and I love to give recommendations about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort, our favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotels and much more.

Best wishes as you begin your planning journey,
    Lauren
