Hiya, Neil! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. We sure do love helping fellow Guests plan their magical vacations to the Happiest Place on Earth. Let's jump into your question and see what we can find out for you!
If this is your first trip back since the reopening last year, there are a few new things to keep in mind with your planning. All Guests are now required to have both a
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation to enter the parks. The reservation holds a spot for you in a particular park on a particular day and helps Sleeping Beauty know how many people to expect to walk through her castle. Reservations can be canceled and rescheduled, but are subject to availability. When you purchase a ticket on the Disneyland website, you are asked to make a reservation as part of the check-out process, which can make them feel like one and the same! I just took a look at the
theme park reservation calendar and it looks like reservations are currently booked for June 2nd, which may be why you have not been able to make the purchase online. Not to worry though, or should we say Hakuna Matata! Guests are always changing their plans, so if you keep a diligent watch on the calendar with some dedicated refreshing, reservations may open up!
To answer your question ... YES, you can buy tickets at the Main Entrance Ticket Booth, but there is a chance that same-day theme park reservations may not be available. You can always speak to the Guest Services Cast Member before making your ticket purchase to see what your reservation options are for the day. If for some reason you are unable to book a ticket online due to a lack of internet access, you are always welcome to call the
Guest Services ticket team at (714) 781-4636.
I'm so sorry this is not the pixie-dusted news you were hoping for! We are just jumping into the summer months, local schools are finishing up the school year, and the nighttime spectaculars are back in full swing so the parks are hustling and bustling! For my part, I will send a little pixie dust your way and hope that the reservation calendar opens up for you! If you need a little entertainment while you are getting ready to travel, I highly recommend the new
planDisney Podcast for all the insider tips and tricks. Episode 2 is ALL about the Disneyland Resort, including some secret viewing spots for the nighttime spectaculars I mentioned, and a special May The 4th episode just dropped if you have any Jedis or First Order Lieutenants in your party!
Neil, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, feel free to come to see us again here at
planDisney.
Never stop dreaming!
Tara
