I am looking to book a stay at Disneyland Paris for 3 nights. My child will be turning 3 on the day we depart. Someone told me that Disney take into account her age on arrival, not departure but the booking online suggests otherwise?

Bonjour Ellis and welcome to planDisney.

First of all, let me just say, I cannot think of a more magical place to celebrate a birthday than Disneyland Paris! My family actually celebrated a couple of my daughters' early birthdays there and still to this day, every year, she asks if we can go to Disneyland Paris for her birthday.

Top Tip - Character Dining is such a brilliant treat for a birthday - you could even order a birthday dessert cake to be brought out for your little one, during the meal.

Going back to your question, Ellis, when booking a Hotel + Ticket package directly with Disneyland Paris, you are prompted to enter the date of birth for all children (3-17 years old) and infants (0-2 years old). By doing this, your booking automatically includes park tickets for all members of your travel party who require them.

If you do a dummy booking on the Disneyland Paris website, you will notice that the cost of your booking will change, depending on whether your little one is classed as an infant, or child and if the date of birth entered does not fall into the infant category, an error message appears
stating "We have identified a infant in your party is in the wrong category. According to the date of birth, a infant will switch to child category based on selected check-in date."

In order to get the most up-to-date information, regarding your question, I chatted to a Disney Agent on the Disneyland Paris Live Chat function, just now, who confirmed that if the child is under 3 years old on your arrival date, this will be carried on for the entire length of stay.

If you are experiencing any difficulties in booking your stay, because of this, I would recommend contacting Disneyland Paris directly via the Live Chat function. This can be accessed by clicking on "Ask your question" in the blue box that says "Need help?" which pops up while you are browsing the Disneyland Paris website and/or Disneyland Paris App.

Before I go, Ellis, if you are planning to visit during December, be sure to check out all that Disney Enchanted Christmas has to offer, during your stay. It's definitely the most magical time of year.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
