Looking to book site at Fort Wilderness Campground, Florida in November - December 2026. What's the date I can start looking for availability? I tried today (08/03/'25). But online only went to October '26.

    Hiya Barbara,

Welcome back to planDisney! It is great to see you again! I know you were chatting with Shantel earlier about making reservations for Fort Wilderness Campsites, and she gave you some great tips to help you start planning.

As someone toying with the idea of booking a holiday vacation in 2026, I've also been anxiously awaiting the release of those reservations. In years past, we've seen those reservations open in mid-summer and sometimes as late as early fall. Unfortunately, as you noted, we still haven't seen the availability open up beyond October. Last year, I noticed that the reservations opened up in September, so my hunch is that we will see a similar timeline this year. That said, the specific timeline is still a mystery to me as well. I've been checking the website twice a week to see if there is any movement. It's disappointing when I don't see dates pop up, but I know how popular holiday vacations are, so it is worth it to me.

I wish I had better news, Barbara, but I hope this was helpful. Before I let you go, I also recommend checking Disney Parks Blog if you don't already. They often let Guests know when new booking windows open, so I follow them on Instagram and check their webpage to stay updated. I'll send pixie dust that reservations will open soon for both of us. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
