Hello, I am looking to book a short trip to Disney for December 31st to the 4th of January. How do I get started? I am looking for resort, park, dining package. If we can include flight, that would be cool too. Any guidance you could give? Best, Jess

Hi Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are putting together a very merry vacation to help ring in the New Year! Let's make all of your holiday dreams come true.

To streamline the planning process, I suggest booking a Walt Disney World vacation package that bundles your theme park admission and Resort Hotel accommodations. During the current phase of reopening, Disney Dining Plans are not available, so you will need to pay for meals as you go. While ground transportation from Orlando International Airport is included in any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay with Disney's Magical Express®, flights from your home airport must be purchased separately. I recommend reserving your air travel first so that when you book your vacation package, you are able to add airport transfers at the same time. When you are ready, call (407) 939-5277, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist in securing your theme park tickets, Resort Hotel room, and ground transportation. As soon as the details are finalized, you'll want to access the Disney Park Pass System to reserve your theme park days. As of today, the Availability Calendar shows plenty of opportunities to visit all four theme parks for your dates.

When booking your stay, you'll find that you have several options for resort accommodations. If you have young Mouseketeers in your party, consider a resort located along the monorail, adjacent to the Magic Kingdom Park. Disney's Contemporary Resort is my little ones' favorite; the monorail glides right through the main tower! If you plan to spend a lot of time exploring my favorite theme park, EPCOT, then you'll want to consider Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is fun for Guests of all ages and especially convenient for Resistance fighters wishing to maximize their time in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Disney's Pop Century Resort is a totally groovy and budget-friendly option located on the Disney Skyliner, my absolute favorite way to travel around Walt Disney World. No matter where you choose, a Disney getaway is the ideal way to start off the New Year with a whole bunch of magic!

Jessica, I hope this helps jumpstart the planning process on your way to a fantastic January vacation. If there is anything else we can do before you set off on your jolly holiday, please stop by and see us again.
