I am looking to book a room at Caribbean Beach for July. Are the mermaid rooms available to book yet, and if so how do I book one? I don't see a listing for that, however the standard 5th sleeper pictures show the mermaid theme.

Hi there Tracie, and welcome back to planDisney!

Just like our pal Olaf, it sounds like you're dreaming of what you'll be doing in summer! Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort will be an ideal locale to relax and soak up the sun.

I LOVE the fresh look of the recent refurbishments at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The new rooms are so bright and airy, not to mention well appointed with ample storage space and charging ports. Currently, you can't reserve one of the new Little Mermaid-themed rooms, but if you're looking to make this design part of your world, here's what I recommend to maximize your chances.

First, be sure to book either a Standard View - 5th Sleeper or Water or Pool View - 5th Sleeper. Next, use either the online chat feature or call Walt Disney World Reservations to add a note on your reservation that you'd prefer a Little Mermaid-themed room. Finally, when doing online check-in, you'll have the option to choose either Old Port Royale or the Disney Skyliner as a room location; select Disney Skyliner. Do not prioritize room readiness over fulfilling your request. If you arrive at the resort before the 3 PM check-in time, stop by the front desk to confirm your request. Although nothing is guaranteed, Cast Members work hard to ensure every Guest has a magical stay.

I hope this has been helpful, Tracie. Even if you don't end up in a room that feels like you're under the sea with Ariel and Flounder, you'll have a wonderful vacation. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a sprawling property, and there's something to love about every neighborhood in this island oasis. The rooms in the Jamaica section are closest to the Disney Skyliner station and (most importantly for me) a Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company kiosk. If you find yourself in Martinique, you'll be steps away from the amenities at Old Port Royale and the feature pool. Guests in Aruba can use the Disney Skyliner station at Disney's Riviera Resort, and rooms in Barbados are equidistant to both Old Port Royale and the Disney Skyliner station. The Little Mermaid-themed rooms can be found in the Trinidad area, so I'll keep my fingers crossed you land here! Thanks again for coming to see us at planDisney, and have a magical day.
