Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Mandy. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Yay! It's the very best kind if you ask me.
A visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season is always fa-la-la-la-fabulous. You're sure to have a very merry stay! You're correct that booking dates for December 2025 aren't available quite yet. You could make your
Disney Resort hotel reservation for an earlier month and then modify those dates when the December booking calendar opens up, but I don't recommend that strategy. The rates you initially book are likely to change if you modify and you can't count on booking the same room category if you modify either. But not to fret! I have a solution. While you're patiently (ok, probably
impatiently) waiting for the December 2025 booking calendar to open up, stock up on some Disney Gift Cards. When you're able to book your December dates, you can use the Disney Gift Cards to pay for the initial deposit and any additional amount of the balance that you'd like to cover! In buying Disney Gift Cards in the waiting period, you'll
feel like you're starting to pay off your Disney vacation without having to worry about modifying your dates later.
Having a
Disney Gift Card is like having a little bit of pixie dust in your wallet! I like to buy my Disney Gift Cards from Target because I can save 5% off the total amount with my Target Circle Card. If you belong to a Warehouse Club like Sam's Club or Costco, you can often find discounted Disney Gift Cards there too!
I hope this was helpful, Mandy. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
