Welcome to planDisney, Randi!
The countdown to your Walt Disney World vacation is well and truly on! Can you believe it's nearly here? Mickey and his pals can't wait for you to arrive and join in the
50th Anniversary Celebration. Make sure you enjoy the
Beacons of Magic displays throughout the four Theme Parks (my personal favorite is Spaceship Earth in EPCOT).
At this time, Randi, all Guests must have a valid ticket and make
Theme Park reservations on the day(s) they want to visit. Ideally, Guests should try and make these reservations as far out as possible since availability is limited. I'm looking at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar for next week and, as I type these words, here is what I'm seeing:
- May 18th - Availability for EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom
- May 19th - Availability for EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom
- May 20th - Availability for EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom
- May 21st - Availability for all four Theme Parks
- May 22nd - Availability for all four Theme Parks
Since you have the Park Hopper Option, you should have no trouble visiting your desired parks. You don't require a reservation for the second Theme Park that you visit on the same day. For example, if you make a reservation for
EPCOT on May 18th, once 2:00 p.m. rolls around you'll then be able to hop to Magic Kingdom Park or
Disney's Hollywood Studios. So you'll be able to enjoy the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in the morning, grab lunch at
Connections Eatery (tip: get the General Tso Chicken Salad and then splurge with a Liege Waffle), and then
fly to a galaxy far, far away in the afternoon.
I hope you have a magical trip, Randi.
Mike
