Welcome to planDisney, Lori! Thanks for stopping by with your vacation planning question.
I planned a 15-person multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World last year that included four kiddos under five years old, as well as grandparents. So I’m the guy to help you out!
To answer your second question first, vacation packages for 2026 aren’t available quite yet and a date has yet to be announced. In recent years they’ve become available in the late spring or early summer, but last year reservations for 2025 opened up in February 2024. So it’s possible that they could be available soon! I would keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World website for updates.
As for hotels to fit your family’s needs, it’s important to remember that each resort is unique, and room amenities and layout may differ from resort to resort. For example, rooms designated as family suites or villas are your best bet for having a living room, but be sure to read the room description—or check with a Cast Member on the
Hotel Reservation line—to ensure the space will work for your crew.
When it comes to cooking, you have a lot of options for Disney Resort hotels with kitchenettes and kitchens. A kitchenette features a sink, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, and limited cookware, while a full kitchen includes all of the above as well as an oven, stove, and more cookware options. Here is a list of all the resorts that have rooms with kitchenettes or full kitchens.
