Welcome to planDisney, Hunter!
Celebrating your honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas season is about as magical as it gets. The decorations, the music, the treats, the smells, the ambiance... I'm just so excited for you! My wife and I honeymooned at The Most Magical Place on Earth and it was "practically perfect in every way."
You'll be pleased to know that there are some great options when it comes to planning a Disney honeymoon. If you visit Disney's Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons, you'll be able to request a digital brochure. This brochure will give you lots of information about the various honeymoon packages for Walt Disney World. You can also create a honeymoon registry for Walt Disney World Resort called Honeymoon Wishes. Your friends and family can contribute to enchanting experiences that you can enjoy during your vacation, such as VIP tours, horseback trail rides, and dining packages. Not only that, but they can even contribute towards tickets, accommodation, and snacks! You'll find a number on their website and someone can talk with you about your options.
I really wish I knew about this resource when I got married!
When it comes to Disney Resorts Collection hotels, it's tough to pick a winner. I mean, they're all uniquely magical in their own way. Also, we're all different. My favorite resort might not be your favorite resort. Having said that, here are my top three suggestions:
1. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - This historic hotel will set you back a few pennies, but it has everything you want. It's within walking distance to Magic Kingdom Park. It has easy Monorail access. You can take a romantic water taxi across Seven Seas Lagoon. You'll even be able to watch Disney Enchantment from your hotel! The main pool is fantastic and has a great waterfall feature. The restaurants are second-to-none! As the name suggests, it has its own spa. And the overall vibe is really classy and romantic.
2. Disney's Beach Club Resort - The location of this hotel is fantastic. Not only is it within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but you'll also be right by Disney's BoardWalk and Disney Skyliner. The vibe is chill and relaxing. The food options are great. And the best part is that you'll have access to Stormalong Bay.
3. Disney's Riviera Resort - Inspired by Walt's visit to and love for the French Riviera, this is the newest Disney Resort. It's a beautiful hotel with lots of delightful Disney touches. The Riviera pool has a really cool Fantasia theme. You'll enjoy Disney Skyliner access. This restaurant even has its own Joffrey's coffee blend! You could celebrate your marriage with a special meal at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. If you go for breakfast, you can dine with Mickey and his friends. If you go for dinner, you can enjoy spectacular views of Harmonious.
I hope that gives you plenty of food for thought, Hunter. I'm sure you and your spouse-to-be will have a truly magical time. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
