Mercedes from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are looking to book our very first cruise on the Disney Dream. I see that I can get a better price if I get the guaranteed room. We are a group of 9 and are looking at getting 3 rooms. Will they put the three rooms together or at least on the same deck?

Ahoy there, Mercedes! Thank you for sailing my way with your question about your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation! The Disney Dream is a fantastic ship on which to sail for the first time - in fact, my wife and I first cruised together aboard the Dream so it definitely gets the planDrew seal of approval from us!

    Patent-pending, of course...

Anyway, when it comes to Guaranteed category staterooms, you're right that this is often the best way to get extra value out of the already impressive list of what's included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation. Though that extra value comes with giving up the ability to choose your specific stateroom, including the location. Since Guaranteed staterooms are assigned based on availability, I'm sorry to say that it is unlikely for them to be assigned in close proximity to one another. In my experience, looking at booking multiple of a single type of stateroom - whether Inside, Outside or Verandah - can make this even more unlikely, as they can be located all over the ship!

But unlikely isn't impossible! If through some faith, trust, and pixie dust, there are enough rooms available and you have booked all three staterooms on a single reservation, it's not completely unheard of for them to be located as closely as possible to one another. It's important to note that, ironically, this isn't guaranteed, but could even take the form of being located on different decks but in a similar location! I do know is that Disney Cruise Line will do what it can, given the limited options! The good news is, no matter where your staterooms end up, you will all be together on the beautiful Disney Dream, making magical memories together!

Oh, and one final planDrew-approved tip - don't miss the Midship Detective Agency! It's a great way to discover the entire ship together while helping some of your favorite characters solve one of three mysteries! Who knows, it may just take you past each of your staterooms as well!

While I wish I had better news, Mercedes, don't let the possibility of your rooms being more apart than you'd hoped to take the wind out of your sails! I know you and your crew are going to have an amazing time and I can't wait for this to be the first of many Disney Cruise Line vacations! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
